Asian markets ended with increases, China’s data beat expectations

Asian markets recorded gains after better-than-expected figures for the Chinese economy. GDP has come out as expected and industrial output has grown.

Chinese markets responded positively to the data. Shanghai Composite rose 0.47%, Shenzhen Composite 0.22% and Shenzhen Component 0.48%.

Hang Seng rose 0.54%.

ASX200 increased by 0.55%. Nikkei 225 advanced 0.38%, Topix 0.29%.

Kospi remained flat after Bank of Korea kept its interest rate unchanged at 1.25%, which was expected.
