The North Korean leader said at the beginning of the Trump meeting that he was interested in working closely with him. Kim admitted that “it would not be easy,” but he expressed a desire to achieve this goal.
“We have overcome all sorts of skepticism and speculation about this summit, and I think that’s good for the world,” said Kim Chen Un.
As far as the financial markets are concerned, there are no significant movements generated by the meeting between the two leaders. From now on, the only option for relations between the two countries to trigger market movements is a rift in denuclearization talks. In such a case we can expect growth of JPY, but only in the short term.
