The reaction comes after a legal decision allowing Google to keep Chrome, though with restrictions on exclusive deals and a requirement to share data. This development was well received by investors — Alphabet shares rose significantly in premarket trading, and Apple also gained due to its continued payments from Google for Chrome distribution.
Meanwhile, concerns over fiscal instability and rising government bond yields are keeping caution in early trading. Additionally, the historically weak September remains a factor — statistically, one of the worst months for U.S. indices.
Adding to this is the focus on the upcoming Non-Farm Payrolls (NFP) report, which will play a key role in shaping market sentiment heading into the end of the week.
