Forex Options Expiring Today

There are only a few options to note today, as highlighted below.

The first ones are for EUR/USD, which are holding close to the 1.1700 level. These expiries do not have particular technical significance but could limit further downside in the price range during the European session later today. Nevertheless, on a day like today I would say that the monthly and quarterly end of the reporting period will likely have a bigger impact on market movement than the option expiries themselves. So – watch out for that.

The other significant option is for NZD/USD at the 0.5785 level. At the moment, the pair is holding just below the 100-hour moving average (0.5793), and the expiry here could keep price action relatively steady during the session before the option expires. But again, the greater importance lies with the short-term technical levels and the sentiment toward the dollar, especially in view of the month-end. For now, however, the options seem to act like a magnet and are drawing the price around these levels.
