Futures in the US and Europe are trading higher, with European index futures extending their advance in premarket trading.
Resilience in Europe after a negative Asian session, where most indices retreated, with the exception of China’s markets, which rose, supported by another helping of government support from Beijing.
-Global market sentiment is becoming increasingly cautious, with the SP500 posting its biggest drop since January on Friday and Iran’s attacks on Israel over the weekend adding to geopolitical tensions.
-The -Dollar remains steady, with the DXY trading in a tight range early in the week, holding successfully above the 105.75 level – the highest level for 2024.
-Petrol is retreating despite increased risk in the Middle East. Gold is also retreating today – an atypical market reaction in light of escalating conflicts.
-Commodities and mining stocks in focus today, with aluminum and nickel rising after another batch of sanctions on Russia

European PreMarket Overlook:
-Futures in Europe are extending their advance in premarket trade, setting traders up for a profit-taking open after a negative week that dragged the DAX to a psychological 18,000 and the French CAC to 8,000.
The greatest resilience in Europe is being shown by the UK’s FTSE, which is trading near a multi-month high in a bid to break above the 8,000 level.
Ahead of the start of the trading session, futures are rising as:
DAX is up 0.55%
CAC is up 0.29%
FTSE is up 0.34%
EuroStoxx 50 is up 0.47%
Despite the positive outlook in the premarket in Europe, the technical picture shows residual potential for corrective momentum to develop. Also, increased caution in global markets will be a headwind to more serious index gains, with traders in Defense mode.
DAX FUTURES – DAILY CHART
- DAX futures are currently retesting the breakout of the main support line of the Long Trend channel.
-Failure to break above the 18,075 levels today will increase sell pressure as a break and close below the 18,000 levels over the next few sessions will pull the trigger on a deeper correction to the 17,700 – 17,650 levels

Alternatively:
Тrading could remain in a tight range between the 18,100 and 18,000 levels over the next few sessions as we enter the Q1 earning season, which could support the markets.
FOREX MARKET – DAILY HEATMAP
