Next Week – what’s next?

Some of the major financial institutions launched earnings season this week, including J.P. Morgan, Bank of America and Citigroup.

Undoubtedly, this week the good reports of the above companies set a positive tone for the expectations from the next revenue reports of the big names from wallstreet.

Next week will focus on other industries, including some companies in the technology, airlines, consumer goods and industries sectors.

Primary names include Procter & amp; Gamble, Netflix, Johnson & amp; Johnson, IBM, Verizon, Tesla, Intel, American Express and Honeywell.

As for economic releases for next week – there is much to be desired. The calendar – typical of the middle of the month – is relatively uneventful. There are no leading indicators to give us direction for the development of the markets.

There will be mostly FOMC statements during the week, but they will be made by members who make statements frequently and are not expected to have a significant impact on the markets. CPI data from the Eurozone, Canada and the Kingdom will also be published.

Probably the most important economic releases for next week will be lagging indicators – Existing Home Sales, Housing Starts, Initial Jobless Claims.
