The art of selling a losing position

When you are in a deal that loses money, you need to know when it is time to go out and accept the loss. The theory of signing a loss and keeping small losses can be forgiven as a concept, but practice has the science and art of selling a lost position.

A few things to provide when selling a negative position.

• You should not enter into a deal without a strategy to exit it. You need to know where you are going to go out before you go out.

• Some traders set a loss rate, for example, if you try to make a + 12% profit on stock trades by setting your Stop Stop when stocks fall by -4% to create a 3: 1 ratio.

• Other investors use the time to stop, if the deal is losing, but does not reach the goal of stopping the loss or profit in a certain period of time, they will simply leave the deal and look for good opportunities.

• In long-term transactions, stopping the loss must be far enough away without first being stopped by noise.

• You enter in deals, to make money, not to lose money, you have to deal with every deal that goes against you. Just holding back and hoping that the trade will come back even if it lets you go is one of the worst plans a trader can have.

• The worst reason to sell a negative position is due to emotions or stress, the trader must always have a quantified reason to get out of the losing trade.

• You always get out of position when your maximum allowable trading capital percentage is lost. Determining your maximum loss rate from 1% to 2% of the next capital will reduce the risk of collapse to almost zero and keep your losses small.

The biggest reason for trading unprofitable extends to big losses if you reduce big losses from your trading if you have a much better chance of roasting. Set a limit on how much you are willing to lose a deal and never exceed that amount, this is the most important step in the art of selling. Everything else is instability management and position sizing.
